Ever have those days when you have so much running through your mind but you just don't know where to start or what to do? You can't even come up with a catchy title for your blog....You're so overwhelmed by everything that you need to get done, so you take a nap.....

I get those days, in fact over this COVID season I've had a few...
It's 6.22am and I need to get going, I know if I climb back into that snuggly bed I won't get up until 9am and then I will be racing around throwing my lunch in my esky, armful of stuff as I try to get out the front door, feeling like I am forgetting something and having to run back to the house 20 times before I am on my way. My solution ? Don't go back to bed Marlene!
Problem 1 - Why don't I feel rested lately? Am I doing too much? Have I got too much on my plate, stressing about not working in my job, studying, getting my business started, all the normal household chores and now blogging? Well for weeks I hadn't even been going for a walk in the morning or heading to the gym (coz they were closed and my membership had expired), so I should have some energy left... right? I have found that I just have no routine, I'll get back into bed and sleep or I'll potter around the house doing stuff, but then feeling like nothing has gotten done, then it's shower have dinner and sit on the couch until we go to bed, not very productive. I am not planning my days properly.
Problem 2 - What's my diet like? If you know me, you know I am an advocate of eating well and supplementing with good quality vitamins, but lately the eating well has taken a little bit of a spiral, Covid, am I right?! Not that I am eating "terrible" but we have had a few "let's just order in" type of nights (if we're not prepared or let's be honest, just plain lazy). Some days you just feel a bit over Salad and Chicken, so the solution, Pizza and Pasta and Ribs... Hmmmm. Yes delicious at the time you are consuming it, but then there's the regret of it as you feel bloated and uncomfortable and can't wake up the next morning because you are now in a "carb coma".
Solution 1 - Get some exercise, Clear the Head and Re-centre. I have a lot of changes happening in my life right now, seriously don't we all? it's all good, but still stressful. My morning walks have always been good, where I can listen to some self motivating audios and just be on my own, with my own thoughts and no one else there to distract me (except the odd stop for Molly my dog to sniff a tree or do her business). Getting some (slightly) fresh air and taking in my surroundings, once the sun starts coming up. 5-15 minutes of meditation, or just breathing, it's great to calm the system. Lately I've also been big on the YouTube workouts, there are some really awesome FREE ones, so no excuse not to exercise, really....
Solution 2 - Get Prepared and Take Responsibility So part of my business is teaching people how to overcome days when you "fall off the wagon" and gorge yourself and feel terrible afterwards. And the best way to do it is to forget about it and move forward. What can you do to overcome these days? Go shopping, prepare your food and start fresh on your next meal, don't beat yourself up. Would you yell at a loved one for not doing it (oops I do that sometimes to the Man Child - Best look at myself first).. If you are reading this, I am sorry Hun xx The other thing is Take Responsibility - we tend to blame others or our circumstances for why we are how we are or what we put in our mouth. It's your choice what you are doing. No one is making you eat that Pizza Marlene... ahem... where was I? Oh Yes... take responsibility, so you ate the Pizza,. you feel like crap today, so do something different or stop whining.

The main thing to remember is, you are human. You will mess up. But the amazing thing about being human is we are also adaptable. WE CAN CHANGE IF WE WANT TO CHANGE. So you have 2 choices as I see it. Keep going as you are, accept how you look/feel and embrace it OR CHANGE SOMETHING. The choice is yours my friend. What will you decide to do?
